When she was in the middle the high school year, Sasha was a transsexual and came out to the world as such. These were tough years and a lot of stress, however Sasha was confident that with the help of his family and the music she could take on anything. Jim and Sasha each have a songwriter. The duo has performed at venues in the area along with open mics and at other venues. The Voice coaches never discussed Sasha's background, but Jim and Sasha shared their story in a clip that was shown prior to their performance. Jim and Sasha talked about what music they enjoy and the way Sasha took up guitar first at age six. The father of Sasha is a music teacher, which made studying the art of playing easier for Sasha. Sasha was born a female and had a difficult time defining himself in his early years. In an Instagram post from last week, Sasha opened up about the struggles he had to face. In the meantime, Jim overcame with emotion in his explanation of why he couldn't be a participant in those difficult circumstances. Sasha Allen, The Voice contestant was born a girl.
