Elizabeth Jane Hurley has been a model and actress in England since the 1980s. In 1990 there was speculation that she might be Hugh Grant's lover. Hurley accompanied Grant in his role, which was at the time in at the center of attention worldwide due to the huge box office success in Four Weddings and a Funeral in Los Angeles. Her dress from Versace had a plunging neckline and silver safety pins. Hurley's partnership in the company of Estee Lauder, a cosmetics maker, has been seen as a high point in her professional career. Hurley's first modelling job was at Estee Lauder, when she was 29 years old. She's been a model since 1995 for the company's products, particularly perfumes like Sensuous Intuition or Pleasures. Vanessa Kensington is her best famous role, which she played in The Mike Myers spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me Both of which were huge hits. Hurley is currently a model and designer of an eponymous beachwear brand. Capitol Records did release Perry's Ur So Gay, which attracted a small amount of attention because of its humorous title. "I Kissed" a Girl was a more assertive ode sexism with a sharp edged electro-pop style. I Kissed a Girls was immediately a hit but it soon sparked controversy. Many critics argued that the track encouraged sexual relationships between gay and straight men, and others felt that the story which was depicted on the album was more appealing to fantasies of males. I Kissed a Girl was an instant hit on Perry's debut album One of the Boys in 2008 due to the mix of titillation combined with polished music. The album's 2nd single Hot N Cold also proving well-loved, the album the songs Perry wrote herself eventually registered the sales of over 3 million copies across the United States.
